
Two batches of smoked Norwegian salmon fillets have been withdrawn from sale in Carrefour stores and recalled from customers due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. People who have purchased this product are advised not to consume it and return it. At the same time, those who have consumed this product and develop a fever, with or without a headache, are advised to seek medical attention as the symptoms may indicate listeriosis, a potentially serious illness with an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
According to the National Veterinary and Food Safety Administration (ANSVSA), the company Ocean Fish SRL initiated the withdrawal from sale of the product “Norwegian smoked salmon fillet 200 g” due to the detection of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
Therefore, Carrefour Romania SA withdraws from the market and recalls from consumers this product under the brand Carrefour Extra no. Lot/DLC: 08092023 / 09/08/2023 and No. Lot/ DLC: 17092023 / 09/17/2023.
- “Persons who have products from the batches described above are advised not to use them, but to destroy them or return them to the stores where they purchased them. The equivalent cost of the products will be returned without presenting a tax receipt.”
