
In August-September, the Tezaur program continues, according to which Romanians can take government loans with two tranches for 1 and 3 years at interest rates of 6.3-7.2%/year.
Those interested can purchase titles from Wednesday to August 23.
They have a nominal value of 1 lei and are in dematerialized form.
“In the previous edition of TEZAUR, more than 30,000 Romanians decided to invest almost 1.4 billion lei,” said Minister Marcel Bolosh.
Government bonds can be bought:
- From August 23 to September 14, online only by natural persons who are registered in the State Treasury for securities issued through the State Treasury. The operations that can be carried out online are: opening a subscription account in the name of the investor in the selected body of the State Treasury, subscription to TEZAUR state securities, transfer of amounts from the investor’s subscription account to a bank account in the name of the investor. - In the period from August 23 to September 15, 2023, from the central offices of the divisions of the State Treasury;
- In the period from August 23 to September 14, 2023 in urban areas and from August 23 to September 13, 2023 in rural areas through postal units of CN Poșta Română SA
The interest is annual and is paid on the terms stipulated in the issue prospectus.
In addition, government securities issued under the TEZAUR Program are transferable and may be redeemed early. An investor can make one or more subscriptions within the issue. Investors have the option to cancel already issued subscriptions only during the subscription period by submitting an application.
Individuals who are 18 years old on the date of subscription can participate. Income received from investing in government securities issued by the Ministry of Finance is not subject to taxation.
