Bianca Andreescu lost to Camila Giorgi in the first round of WTA Montreal

The Canadian player’s serve in the match against Georgia was not very good. Bianca served three aces but committed three double faults and won only 62% of her first-serve points and 40% of her second-serve points.

Giorgi (51 WTA), who saved five break points of her opponent, prevailed three times in the rematch and won the match after an hour and a half of play with the score 6-3, 6-2.

This is the third consecutive defeat of Andreescu (41 WTA) after defeats by Ons Jabert (third round of Wimbledon) and Marta Kostiuk (first round of Washington).

Instead, Camila won her third consecutive victory in Montreal (she also qualified), and in the next round she will face the Czech Petra Kvitova (7th favorite).
