Bayern Munich is preparing for the new season, in which, as every year, it sets big goals for itself. Thomas Tuchel has asked for reinforcements in the team, and the Bavarians would agree with Manchester City on the transfer of Kyle Walker.

Although they won their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title, the previous season was not the best for Bayern.

The team suffered early exits from the UEFA Champions League (quarters, v Manchester City) and the German Cup (quarters, v Freiburg), and along the way, Julian Nagelsmann was sacked and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

The German coach has called in reinforcements for next season after Lucas Hernandez, the club’s most expensive player in history, was sold to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Bavarians have been in intensive talks with Manchester City and, according to The Athletic, the parties have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of defender Kyle Walker.

The 33-year-old Englishman announced after the end of the season that he wants to try a new challenge, and the transfer fee will not be large to acquire him.

The source notes that “Bayern” will pay the Englishmen 20 million euros.

During his career, Kyle Walker also played for Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa, and made 254 appearances for Manchester City.

If the move goes through, Walker will leave Manchester City as a five-time Premier League winner. Together with the “citizens” he also won the FA Cup twice, the FA Cup 4 times and the FA Super Cup twice.
