Edwin van der Sar’s condition is stable but worrying

Edwin van der Sar is on holiday on an island in Croatia, but his health has deteriorated and he has passed out.

A helicopter was requested, and the former goalkeeper of the Dutch was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was placed in the intensive care unit under the close supervision of doctors.

Almost a day after the tragic incident, his condition is stable, but the first 24 hours are critical. The cause may be a brain hemorrhage.

The Amsterdam club “Ajax” released a statement in which it quoted his wife Annemarie van der Sar regarding the legendary goalkeeper’s health.

“Edwin van der Sar will remain in intensive care for the time being. His condition is stable but still alarming. Ajax is sharing this information on behalf of Annemarie van der Sar, Edwin’s wife. The Van der Sar family, along with Ajax, are grateful and deeply touched by the many messages of support.” – says the club’s official press release.
