Farul Constanta and Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe will meet on Saturday at the Ilie Oane Stadium in Ploiești in a match for the Romanian Super Cup.

The Romanian champions’ coach Guique Hagi is confident ahead of the clash with Sepsi, despite the team having won just one match in pre-season this summer.

However, Hagi emphasized that he will not be able to count on a sufficient number of players for the confrontation in Ploiesti.

“I am ahead of the new season, I have a lot of thoughts, because we have two and a half very difficult months ahead of us. Last year we did extraordinary things, something incredible, we won the championship and it’s something new for us to play so many games in June and July.

Unfortunately, from the first day we had unavailable players who were not with us due to injuries, they stayed at home. Even though the results were not so good in the friendlies, I think it was a chance for me to get to know my young players and newcomers better.

There is a lot to do, we start playing every three days and hope to do well. In this match, unfortunately, we have injured players, seven will not be with us.

Otherwise, we believe. Our goal is to fight again with the best teams in Romania, even if financially or administratively we are not at their level.

We were the surprise of the championship, we are trying to get into the play-offs, and as for tomorrow’s game, any final is won, not played. Sepsi has an experienced coach who knows the championship, it will be a match where two teams will play football.
