Russia carried out a drone attack on Kyiv overnight after a 12-day hiatus, a Ukrainian military official said on Sunday, with air defense systems destroying – according to preliminary information – all targets near them.

“Another enemy attack on Kyiv”, Colonel-General Serhiy Popko, who heads the Kyiv Military Administration, reported on the Telegram channel.

“Currently, there is no information about possible victims or destruction,” he added.

Reuters witnesses heard explosions similar to the sound of air defense systems attacking their targets.

There is no information about the scale of the attack yet.

About an hour after 02:00 local time, Kyiv, its region and a number of regions of central and eastern Ukraine were under the threat of an air raid.
