The 64-year-old entertainer was due to start a seven-month world tour in the coming weeks, but was forced to postpone it.

A source told CNN, adding that “she is fine.”

Madonna, who is very private about her health problems, was in the final stages of rehearsals for her major world tour.

The holiday tour was supposed to start in Canada in two weeks, and then visit 45 cities around the world.

This would be his 12th tour, marking 40 years in the music industry.

The singer received thousands of messages of support online after manager Guy Osiri released a statement on Wednesday about her health.

Details on the continuation of the tour have yet to be announced, with Osiri saying: “At this point we have to postpone all commitments, including the tour.”

“We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including the new tour start date and rescheduled shows,” he added.

It’s unclear what initially caused Madonna’s bacterial infection, but doctors say it became extremely serious and required intensive treatment.

Infections can develop into a life-threatening condition called septicemia, or blood infection.

This is a medical emergency that occurs when the body develops a strong reaction to an infection.

Without proper treatment, it can lead to tissue damage, organ damage, and even death.

Most often, the initial infection that causes these events begins in the lungs, skin, urinary system, or digestive tract.
