FC U Craiova 1948 – FCSB will play at Târgu Jiu

The Super League target for the 2023/24 season was set on Tuesday.

FC “Krayova 1948” will host the vice-champion of FCSHB as a guest, but the Olten team will not be able to play against the red-blue team at the “Ion Oblemenko” stadium.

The new season will begin on the weekend of July 15-16 and conclude on June 2, 2024 with the second stage of the promotion/relegation section.

The second IntenCity festival will take place at the Ion Oblemenco stadium later this week.

Thus, the turf will have to be changed, which means that the two teams from Craiova will not play immediately in the arena.

It is for this reason that Adrian Mititelu, the owner of the team from Bani, has already contacted the mayor of Tirgu Giu and asked that the game be played at the Tudor Vladimirescu Stadium.

The information was also confirmed by the mayor of the city, Marcel Romanescu.

“You understand that we are very happy that they looked for us and told us that he wants to play again at the Tudor Vladimirescu Stadium. We are talking about a match with FCSB, which, I think, will be scheduled somewhere on July 15-16.

I spoke with management on both Tuesday and Wednesday and we understood each other. A written request must also be sent to us so that we can find out.

Tirgu Jiu is always FC Universitatia’s second home, and Craiova fans welcome us with open arms at the stadium. I am convinced that our arena will be full of eyes, and if we had a stadium with 60 thousand seats, I am convinced that it would be too small.

Residents of our city can’t wait for FC “Universitatya” to return to Tirgu Jiu. Know that this team has many supporters in our city.

We can’t wait to play against FCSB at our stadium.” – he said, reports Prosport.
