The Bavarian firm has just unveiled the X1 M35i xDrive, undoubtedly the most dynamic in the range, and it features valiant 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with a capacity of 300 hp.

Persistent sportsmanship

The exterior styling of the X1 M35i xDrive harkens back to the most powerful M models, starting with the black-coated double grille, twin vertical stripes and the M logo on the left.

The front bumper has also been designed to optimize aerodynamics and cool the mechanics thanks to generous air intakes, while new side skirts and a specific roof spoiler complete the picture.

The passenger compartment contains special BMW M elements with Alcantara on some elements, aluminum or even special graphics for the screens. The car comes standard with Sensatec/Alcantara sports seats in black with contrasting blue stitching, while electrically adjustable M sports seats with driver seat memory, integrated headrests and an illuminated M logo in the upper backrest are available as an option.

Practical aspects remain unchanged thanks to the 40:20:40 split-folding seat and boot volume that ranges from 540 to 1,600 litres.

Sporty, but not very

As mentioned above, the BMW X1 M35i has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque, all mated to a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The maximum speed is limited by electronics 250 km/h and announced from 0 to 100 km/h 5.4 seconds.

The car is equipped with an adaptive suspension system with mechanically controlled valves, which combines comfort and dynamics, and the decorative part of the X1 has been lowered by 15 mm. It also comes with 385mm front and 330mm rear brakes.

As standard, the new BMW X1 M35i xDrive is equipped with automatic dual-zone climate control, BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Maps navigation system, M roof rails in high-gloss black, automatic tailgate opening, rain sensor with automatic light control, and four USB ports. -C.

Its commercial launch is scheduled for November 2023, and its price in Germany starts at €62,000. French prices will be announced later.
