Like each of the 14 brands of the Stellantis group, Lancia will have its chances for years to come. The iconic Italian manufacturer, which at the time of writing only sells its Ypsilon in Italy, is looking to return to several European markets, including France, with a range of electrical products.
A few months ago, we discovered a concept car that was strange, to say the least: the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE. Amazing model and should represent the aesthetic future of the brand. And today, to popularize the manufacturer, the concept made its first laps with Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano at the wheel.
The return of Ypsilon in 2024
Don’t expect any driving or performance impressions, it’s just a prototype for now, but the video gives us an idea of where Lancia is in its “rebirth”.
After several years of “survival” with the only Ypsilon in the catalog, the range is about to expand, with three models coming between 2024 and 2028. New features that borrow certain styling cues and several technologies from the Pu+Ra HPE concept, starting with that distinctive light signature at the front.
Two new “strong” products of 2026
Next year, Lancia will introduce the new Ypsilon model, which should be a small crossover about 4 meters long, similar to the Jeep Avenger or the future Fiat 600. This model should be offered with micro-hybrid engines and 100% electric.
The flagship of the brand will appear in 2026 and will be called Gamma. It will be electric only, like the new Delta, which will appear in 2028. The goal is to achieve a range of about 700 km.
