Golf R transformed into a 4×4

In a curious post published on his Instagram account, Delta 4X4 presents the Golf R “Country” concept.. The least we can say is that the German compact has changed a lot! It covers virtually every product available in the Delta 4X4 range. Its ground clearance increased by 80 mmand we brought him up with outstanding off-road tires. Now a large rack has been installed in the gallery, where all the gear worthy of the expedition can be placed. He is crowned two large LED strips which complete the top five long range searchlights located in the center of the grid. This transformation is only suitable for a sporty version of the Golf called “R”.

A tribute to Golf II “Country”

With 320 horsepower, this version is truly one of a kind All-wheel drive 4Motion. His transformation will cost 35,000 euros, To this, of course, must be added the cost of buying a Golf R: more than 64,000 euros in France! Delta 4X4 wants to attract at least 25 Golf R owners before considering the development and marketing of this series of Country kit. This denomination was not chosen by chance. It refers to the Golf II Country, released in 1990. Compete with the terrible Fiat Panda 4X4 (1983), Volkswagen has joined forces with the Austrian coachbuilder Steyr Puch and armed his compact station wagon a four-wheel drive and increased ground clearance.
