Belarus wants to introduce chemical castration for pedophiles
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, at the suggestion of the General Prosecutor’s Office, prepared amendments to the Criminal Code, providing for mandatory treatment of pedophiles, along with punishment for sexual crimes against minors. This was announced on Monday, June 19, by the head of the Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Anzhelika Kurchak, whose statement was published on the department’s Telegram channel.
“The Ministry of Health has developed and approved clinical protocols for the treatment of people suffering from pedophilia, including the use of chemical castration,” said a representative of the Attorney General’s Office.
Furthermore, according to Kurchak, the Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko supported the ministry’s initiatives to resolve issues related to strengthening the responsibility of parents for “proper upbringing of children”, introducing administrative responsibility for “propaganda without children, promotion of unlawful practices traditional family relationships, pedophilia, sex change.”
