Peugeot e-308: announced prices! News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your mailbox

there the third and current generation of the Peugeot 308 was released in 2021. It was this model that aimed to bring Peugeot back into the limelight! But let’s put it in context. After one period of doubt after the 2008 crisis, in 2014 the brand almost declared bankruptcy. The state even considered the possibility of acquiring the brand at the same time as the PSA group. In 2015, with the arrival of new CEO Carlos Tavares, the brand was launched an ambitious plan called “Back in the Race.” He announced a radical turn for Leo. The group was reorganized (17,000 jobs cut) with a clear strategy and positioning for each brand. Peugeot sought to enter the elite market to finally (again) declare profitability. It’s involved a new identity AND a more modern and technological image, which represents the new logo. Then I had to apply a new recipe to the first model…

Update model

This is the 308 that had those awards. Just one look it offered a clear evolution compared to the previous generation. The brand has finally shed its old-fashioned image. He took the necessary steps to gain more market share. This is both in France and in Europe! The efforts made were reflected in special care for processing qualityon selection of materials and till many options and equipment. When it was launched, the 308 offered a relatively wide range of engines. Three heat engines were offered : diesel 130 horsepower, and two gasoline 110 and 130 horsepower. But also hybrid options are connected, respectively 180 and 225 horsepower. Finally, in 2022 an all-electric version called the e-308 was added to the lineup.

Elite electricity

It is she who interests us today! One month ago, Peugeot has opened orders for the first edition called “First Edition”. Prices for the entire range are known today! As a reminder, it is only available with one engine, 156 horsepower. Even one battery with a capacity of 54 kWh allows autonomy of about 400 kilometers. Its electronically limited speed can develop 170 km/h, Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 10.5 seconds. It starts with the Allure finish from €45,720, the entry level is far from bare. This culminates in the sportier GT trim for €48,220. That’s almost €8,000 more than the Renault Mégane E-Tech €15,000 compared to the MG 4!
