Rapid Bucharest announced on Friday that they have made their third transfer of next season, with the Giulesti group bringing in Christopher Brown (CFR Cluj).

At the age of 31, the German defender signed a contract for two seasons, so he will play in Giulietta until 2025.

He grew up in the junior clubs of Hamburg SV and St. Pauli, Brown also developed his career at St. Pauli II, Wilhelmshaven, FB Oldenburg, SG Wattenscheid, Fortuna Sittard, OFI Crete, FC Botosani and CFR Cluj.

In the season that just ended, Rapida’s new right-back made 44 appearances for Cluj, scoring one goal, even against Rapida in a 3-1 win over Giulesti.

He played 30 matches in the Super League, one in the Super Cup, four in the Romanian Cup and nine in the UEFA Conference League.

Brown is still in Germany and is set to join Adrian Mutu’s side on June 14.

During this period, Rapid transferred two more players, Omar El Sawy (from FC Cikszereda) and Rezwan Oaide (free from contract).
