
The National Weather Service issued two back-to-back yellow codes in effect from noon Thursday through Friday evening, warning of heavy rain and storms in 17 counties across the country.
Code Yellow is in effect on Thursday from 12:00 to 21:00
During the specified period of time, periods of increased atmospheric instability will be locally observed, which will be manifested by electric discharges, torrential downpours, individual hail and short-term strengthening of the wind in Maramureş, Krishan, in the north-west of Transylvania, as well as in the village of Apuseni mountains and the Eastern Carpathians.
In a short period of time or through accumulation, the amount of water will be 20…25 l/m2, and isolated more than 30 l/m2.
Code Yellow is in effect from 9:00 p.m. Thursday to 11:00 p.m. Friday
