The second month in terms of the number of newborns (in the country) is January. Of course, if we subtract 9 months of pregnancy, we can also conclude about the birth month of most children.

The fewest births in 2022 occurred in December (by country).

In a study published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society, two experts noted that in the northern states of the United States, the birth peak occurs in June and July, and in the southern states of the United States – in October and November.

The same study found a similar pattern in the Northern Hemisphere, with peaks occurring later in the year the closer a country is to the equator. For example, Finland recorded the highest number of births at the end of April, while Jamaica had its peak births in November.

According to research in this field, the seasonality of childbirth can be related to temperature and length of day. The degree of change in temperature and day length throughout the year depends on latitude, the authors of the study explain.

These changes in the climate and location of a couple can affect the frequency of sex, although it depends on many factors such as income, culture, vacations, etc.
