Ukrainian military intelligence claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the founder of Wagner’s mercenary group Yevgeny Prigozhin are constantly being monitored. However, killing the head of the Kremlin is not the number one priority.
Ukrainian military intelligence monitors the location of Putin and Prigozhin in real time, spokesman Andriy Yusov said.
Yusov claims that “despite all attempts and efforts to hide this information” and the use of “various technologies, including backups”, the location of these two “cannot be hidden,” Yusov told the Kyiv Post, as quoted by Sky News. .
“Putin is protected, he is a well-protected person. Prigozhin is relatively less protected and behaves almost the most freely among the Russian elite.
“All this information is known to us and our partners and is often monitored in real time,” Yusov claims.
However, a spokesman for Ukrainian military intelligence insisted that there is currently no desire to kill Putin or Prigozhin.
“In terms of primary goals, all war criminals should be punished,” he said.
“Ukraine, as a civilized state, is interested in this punishment being carried out within the framework of international law, in an international court,” Yusov emphasized.
The number one priority for Ukraine is to bring Putin to The Hague for consideration by the International Criminal Court, said the spokesman of the Main Directorate of Information of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In March, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, charging him with war crimes for the illegal deportation of at least 100 children from Ukraine.
