
Firefighters from Arges intervened on Tuesday evening to put out a fire that broke out in the engine of a private train carrying 60 passengers, News.ro reported.
“This evening, Arjesh firefighters received a notification about a fire outbreak in the engine compartment of a personal train located between Pitesti and Pärvu stations. Special fire prevention and extinguishing measures were provided by firefighters, smoke was detected on the spot from the engine compartment area where combustible elements were burning,” ISU Argeş reported on Tuesday evening.
According to the source, there were no victims or people who needed qualified first aid.
“The train was able to continue its journey to Pärvu station with approximately 60 people on board, they were picked up by another train to reach their destination,” firefighters said.
