
The Russian capital was the target of a rare early-morning drone attack that caused “minor” property damage to buildings but no one was hurt, the mayor said. MoscowSergei Sabyanin.
“In the morning, at dawn, the drone attack caused minor material damage to the buildings. Emergency services of the city left for the place (…) No one was seriously injured, ”at least, based on the information,“ so far, ”the mayor said in Telegram.

For his part, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, indicated that several drones were shot down near the capital.
“This morning, residents of some areas of the Moscow region heard the sounds of explosions, it was our air defense system,” he also noted in Telegram.
“Several drones were shot down on approach to Moscow,” Vorobyov explained, urging residents to “keep calm” and assuring that “all rescue services are doing their job.”
It is noted that the information is not confirmed by an independent source.
Moscow and its suburbs, located more than 1000 km from Ukraine, have rarely been hit by drones since the beginning of the war.
It was the second alleged attack in Moscow two weeks after authorities said two drones had targeted the Kremlin in an attempt to assassinate President Vladimir Putin.
