Meteorologists on Saturday announced a new code yellow warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms for almost the entire country.

On Saturday, from 12:00 to 23:00, there will be a warning for a temporary increase in atmospheric instability.

According to meteorologists, periods of increased atmospheric instability will be locally observed during the specified period of time – frequent power outages, torrential downpours, short-term strengthening of the wind, squalls and hail in Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobruja, Transylvania, central and southern Moldova, as well as in the mountains . In short periods of time or through accumulation, the amount of water will be 20…25 l/m2, and isolated more than 30…40 l/m2.

Such phenomena will occur in smaller territories and in other regions, says the National Academy of Sciences.

And the capital will be under a yellow code on Saturday.

According to the special forecast for Bucharest, the weather will be generally unstable. In places there will be strong cloudiness, showers, electric discharges and short-term strengthening of the wind, gusts of 50…60 km/h. An average of 8…10 l/m2 accumulates in short periods of time.

The maximum temperature will be about 26 degrees.
