
According to Russian officials and the media, Ukraine hit two regions in southern Russia with a missile and a drone, although the missile was shot down by air defense, Reuters reports.
In the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, an explosion damaged a residential and office building, Russian officials said.
They did not specify what caused the explosion, although the Russian press reported that it was a drone attack.
Unverified videos on social networks show a drone flying over the city.

“All emergency services are working at the scene. The cause of the event is established. Residents are asked to remain calm,” Krasnodar Mayor Yevhen Naumov wrote on the Telegram channel.
In neighboring Rostov Oblast, the local governor said a Ukrainian missile was shot down by air defenses on Thursday near Morozovsk, home to a Russian air base.
“An anti-aircraft missile system went off in the Morozovsk region, shooting down a Ukrainian missile,” said Vasyl Golubev, governor of the Rostov region.
“The army is doing its job. Stay calm.”
