Taking into account the information received by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration from the CFI, subordinate to the Ministry of Finance, regarding failures in the work of the ANAF portal and the impossibility of timely elimination of these failures to support taxpayers in submitting tax returns by May 25, the Agency’s management recommends to its executive structures in the territory, that in situations of non-compliance with the submission deadline, they should take an active role and take into account the provisions of the Fiscal Procedural Code regarding the good faith of taxpayers, in accordance with Article 7 in conjunction with Article 12.

We apologize to taxpayers for the current situation, but we believe that with the completion of the process of digitalization of tax administration, there will be no more such syncopes,” the document says.

Recently, the ANAF IT system has been operating with great difficulty, as there are frequent cases of the website going down and taxpayers not being able to submit their returns on time.
