49 8th grade students from Bucharest and Ploiesti have the opportunity to learn plumbing and gas installation. benefit from scholarships up to 1050 lei per month. All this through the vocational education program in the dual system, conducted by ENGIE Romania in partnership with the “Mihai Bravu” Technical College from Bucharest and the “Elie Radu” High School of Energy Technology from Ploiești.
With an investment of 2,640,000 lei in the professional education program in the dual system, ENGIE Romania is launching a new version of the program in the 2023-2024 academic year. Over the course of three years, students combine theory with practice and have numerous benefits. After graduation, they have the opportunity to work in the company’s subsidiaries, Distrigaz Sud Rețele and ENGIE Servicii. Students who choose the vocational education program under the dual system “Energy for my work” enjoy many financial advantages, up to 1050 lei per month. In addition to a monthly stipend of 200 lei provided by the Romanian state, ENGIE Romania offers:
- Monthly stipend in the amount of 500 lei;
- Merit scholarship in the amount of 200 lei, depending on study results;
- Additional payment of 150 lei to cover costs for suburban transport or half-board accommodation.
In addition to financial benefits, students benefit from:
- Lunch during the entire practice;
- Excellent conditions for practice under the guidance of experienced mentors;
- Technical-sanitary and gas installation installer’s certificate;
- The opportunity to work in one of the company’s subsidiaries, Distrigaz Sud Rețele and ENGIE Servicii, after three years of training.
ENGIE Romania launched the first Energy for My Work Dual Vocational Education Program in 2018, training 215 students from Bucharest, Brasov, Galaţi and Constanța to qualify as plumbing and gas installers. The first two generations of students have already received a technical-sanitary and gas installation certificate, 114 out of 115 graduates work in two branches of Distrigaz Sud Rețele and ENGIE Servicii. ENGIE Romania invested approximately 11,000,000 lei during the 5 years of the dual education project for the qualification of 264 students.
