Manchester City won the derby with Chelsea 1-0 in the penultimate stage of the Premier League, a day after being crowned champions after defeat by Arsenal.

Despite celebrating with the fans as they won their third title in a row, Pep Guardiola’s players remained focused ahead of Sunday’s game against Chelsea.

The only goal in the game was scored by Argentine Julian Alvarez in the 12th minute.

The same Alvarez also scored in the 71st minute, but the success was overruled by the VAR system for hands.

With one stage left in the season, Manchester City is in first place with 88 points, seven more than London’s Arsenal, who are in second place.

Instead, Chelsea is only 12th in the Premier League table with 43 points.
