Today, the vast majority of manufacturers are in the process of transitioning to fully electric devices. In truth, they don’t really have a choice, as the European Union requires them to stop selling heat cars across the continent from 2035. Especially since some are a little behind, like Seat, for example. Indeed, the brand simply doesn’t offer any EVs, unlike its cousin the Cupra, which the Born recently offered. Thus, she allows herself to be gently cannibalized, which worries her about her future.

An inevitable end?
So much so that the Spanish firm finally announced the termination of its automotive activities until 2030. A very unexpected turn for the manufacturer, whose situation is quite fragile and which still suffers a lot of losses. However, for Seat at the moment there is no question of ending the life of its star models. Indeed, the manufacturer claims that it intends to keep them alive for several more years. So, Seat Ibiza, Leon and Arona will continue to exist until 2030, of course with a little restyling to give themselves another chance before the end.
Early retirement
But how about Ateca and Tarraco ? Two SUVs should disappear forever from the catalog of the Spanish brand. Then they will be replaced by two models with cupra icon, about which we currently know little. After 2030, Seat will become a mobility brand and focus on scooters and other electric scooters aimed at a younger audience. We can only wait to find out what the brand has in store for us.
