In recent years, more and more speed cameras have appeared on the roads, and the government is expanding initiatives aimed at reducing the level of risky behaviour. In addition to speed enforcement, the police are also present on the network to intercept drivers traveling under the influence of alcohol or drugs. And it’s set to get even better as the state looks to tighten the screws over the coming months by increasing the number of controls. Sanctions can also be even more severe against violators due to the high risks associated with their behavior.

A big overshoot

But none of this seems to be stopping some from continuing and trying to ignore the bans, even if it risks putting everyone at risk. This is precisely the case of our champion of the day, who, however, must bitterly regret his conduct, which could have done much more harm. The events take place on May 4 on Finisterre, or rather on the RN165 towards Camper Brest. Around 20:30, gendarmes notice a Peugeot 308 driving at a very high speed. And it is not for nothing that the compact flashes at 194 km/h, the road is usually limited to 110 km/h. Not one by one, not two at a time, the soldiers gave chase and checked the driver.

Strong penalty

And the latter do not end with surprise. Because the driver is too under the influence of alcohol, as revealed by the control carried out by the police.
