Event organizers said on the Prima Evadare competition website that the meeting at the Romsilva headquarters was aimed at good organization of the event and resolving “disagreements” that had arisen recently, ultimately gaining “the support and involvement of all parties for a successful event.”

They say that a new protocol will be signed with Romsilva and the Ministry of Natural Resources regarding the organization of the event and “the intention to create permanent routes for local communities.”

“In addition, all those present discussed and emphasized the social aspect of forests in Bucharest and Ilfov and the importance of their use by local residents also for recreational purposes,” the organizers of the competition also say.

According to them, the Minister of the Environment, Tanchos Barna, will cycle for two hours on Thursday from 17.00 through the most beautiful parts of the Prima Evadare route.

Mountaineer and athlete Alex Gavan reported on Monday that Romsilva Ilfov was plowing the trails in the Băneasape forest, which hosts the largest international cross-country cycling competition in Eastern Europe, with thousands of participants, Prima Evadare. According to Gevan, similar incidents have been happening for several years, even before the competition. “A forest is not only wood, but infinitely more,” was his message to Romsilva.
