Unprecedented footage in the center of Thessaloniki early Monday morning as police launched a manhunt to arrest two young men who were jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
According to SKAI, authorities believe two men with covered faces were responsible for the fire at a store on Venizelu Street.
One of the two jumped off the roof onto a fire truck with a cigarette in hand, spoke to a police officer, then jumped out into the street and ran.
After a few meters, the police managed to detain him.
The second youth, after the tambourine inside the church of Agios Minas, was soon arrested by the intervention of the priest, who, as can be seen from the transmitted images, persuaded him to surrender.
In fact, the priest and the young man embraced before the latter turned himself in to the police.
Earlier, a fire broke out in an electronics store in the center of Thessaloniki, in connection with which a large fire brigade was mobilized.
Young people shouted to the police that they had nothing to do with the fire and that they were there to draw graffiti.
