The project to digitize 55 million paper pages of the Main State Archive with a budget of 29 million, which was awarded to Nova, is also awaiting approval from the Accounts Chamber.

Cosmote is also the contractor for the project to digitize the diplomatic and historical archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a budget of 24.5 million euros, as part of a joint venture with Quality & Reliability. The file of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs consists of 65 million pages of various sizes, and documents in some cases on paper are damaged and sensitive both from time and from its use. The folders include photographs, typewritten documents, manuscripts, newspaper clippings, and maps.

There is a countdown of the start of the implementation of the project for the modernization of the integrated information system of the State Legal Council and the modernization of its digital services. And this is after the transfer of the project with an initial budget of 5.6 million euros to the IT subsidiary of the Quest group, Unisystems. This particular project is an integral part of the modernization of the judiciary in order to speed up the processing of court cases.

Another of the information society projects includes the establishment of four new biometric data collection centers of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum. Within the framework of a specific project with an initial amount of 6.4 million euros, which will be implemented by OTE, it is expected to process a large volume of requests for the issuance and renewal of residence permits from third-country nationals.

As the date of the national elections approaches, the speed of maturation, bidding and, above all, the awarding of projects aimed at the digital transformation of the state is expected to slow down, especially after the possible appointment of an interim government. However, to date, it is estimated that the Information Society has completed tenders for 90% of the projects included in the Recovery Fund.

The company manages 400 projects with a total value of 4.9 billion euros. It is estimated that since November last year, the Information Society has announced 44 projects with a total budget of 507.6 million euros. Based on existing planning, another 55 projects are planned to be announced in the next six months, with a total value of 307.3 million euros.
