His much-touted simplification seems “on paper”. licensing businesses, as, as members of the newly formed Hellenic Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industries (EEPAZ) complained yesterday, for the store –bakery or confectionery– it takes from 2 to 2.5 years, and if this is a store in a mothballed building, then 4-5 years. It is even more difficult if the store is located in a historic building, as then the procedures can take up to … 15 years.
The suffering, however, does not end there, as there was no unification of control, which was also advertised and which, together with the simplification of licensing, also represented a memorandum of commitment. “When we open, auditors from 30 different services can come to us,” Panagiotis Monemvasiotis, president of the new association and head of the Venetis network, said characteristically yesterday at an EEPAZ press conference.
To solve the above problems, EEPAZ offers the following:
Owners real estate In order to be rented out, industry enterprises need to obtain a certificate of suitability of their property for a particular use. The property must have electricity, water and telecommunications suitable for its use. The tenant’s business should not have anything to do with urban planning or any other service.
No documents are required from the services to license the business and the process must be completed within a week and within 30 days if the store is located in a listed building.
Store licensing and health monitoring should only be carried out by two services: a service of health interest, and Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Finance should be obliged within 48 hours to certify the cash register of the store and its opening.
EEPAZ also requires the re-linking of energy prices for branch stores to pre-crisis levels through horizontal adjustment with an increase of no more than 30%.
The founders of EEPAZ are the following companies: Terkenlis, Paul, Stergiou Estia, Venetis, Artopolis, Cretan Bakery Daily Bakery SA, Savoidakis, Pietris, Cretan Bakery Tastes SA, Stavrati Family, Epirotiko, Sovolos, Ta Ioulia, Gavrielidis, Melirryto, Farine. Cafe Boulangerie, Philippos Gavanas, Roxani, Michalis Lemonis, Pontikakis, D. Stergiou, Furnos Stamatakis.
