Musician Alexandru Constantinescu is the leader of the band “The Cabarets” and loves old cars very, very much. Among all Retromobil Club Romania members, Alexandru collects only buses.

The Roman Diesel 111 RD bus model, manufactured in 1978, is 11 meters long and has a maximum speed of 110 km/h. It has 43 seats and a maximum carrying capacity of 70 passengers, and the lives of those who traveled with RATA before 1989 depended on it.

In his garage, Alexandru Constantinescu has five tourist buses – two Mercedes Irannational, a Roman Diesel, a Rocar Satelit, a short bus that is in the process of being fully restored and which, in his opinion, is the last in the world. It is 7-8 meters and there were very few copies made at the Rokar factory, formerly Bus. They were designed as 3 x 4 or 4 x 4. They were made mainly for the army to be able to go over rough terrain, climb slopes, fords and be able to work at -35 degrees.

Read on B365.ro how Alexandra Constantinescu was saved from extinction by a Roman diesel bus, a tangible socialist time capsule, a dinosaur that got another life.
