Napoli were preparing to celebrate their Serie A title, but Saturday’s draw with Salernitana put their plans on hold. For the next game on Thursday, which will be played away to Udinese, the city hall decided to install a huge screen at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

Napoli fans will watch the match against Udinese on a huge screen

The match with Napoli can bring the first Italian championship title after a 33-year break.

Luciano Spalletti’s men travel to 13th-placed Udine on Thursday for the 33rd round of Serie A, a trip where around 10,000 Neapolitan fans are expected – almost half the capacity of the Stadio Friuli – despite the long journey (840km on the road between two cities), reports News.ro.

Napoli will broadcast the match on a giant screen at the Maradona Stadium so that its fans can be close to the players, but at a distance.

A draw is enough for Napoli to win a third Scudetto in their history, the first since 1990, when the team was led by Diego Maradona.

The title could be secured as early as Wednesday night if second-placed Lazio can’t beat 11th-placed Sassuolo.
