Thomas Johansson, Sorana Kirstya’s coach, is waiting for Simona Halep to return
Relations between Halep and Kirsty are known to have been cold since their junior days, but Sorana came to Simone’s defense after she tested positive at the 2022 US Open.
Thomas Johansson did the same, and the Swedish coach explained how difficult it is for a player to stay away from the field.
“Symona is a great player and a sweet girl. She was very good, had great results, one of the strong players when she was on top.
I can say that of course we want him back. She is such a good player and I hope things get sorted out soon. It was very good, especially on dirt.
I can say that due to the injury I was absent from the court for 14 months and missed tennis every day. I think the same goes for Simone. I hope he will return to the field” – Thomas Johanssonquoted by Antena 3 CNN.
