Mykhailo Razvozhaev, the governor appointed by Moscow in Sevastopol, said that on the night of Friday to Saturday, a fuel tank caught fire in Cossack Bay after a drone attack, reports The Kyiv Independent.
“A fuel tank caught fire near Manganari Brothers Street in the Kazachya Bay area. According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by an unmanned aerial vehicle,” Mykhailo Razvozhaev wrote in Telegram.
Razvozhaev also reported that the fire covered an area of 1,000 square meters, and the data on the victims and damages are still being established.

On Monday, another drone attack was carried out on the Crimean port city of Sevastopol, which was repelled by the Russian navy, the city’s pro-Russian governor Mykhailo Razvozhaev said, as quoted by CNN and Reuters.
These drone attacks are usually attributed to Ukrainians, although Kyiv does not officially recognize them.
Since August 20, 2022, explosions and fires have been regularly reported on the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula and in Sevastopol, the largest city in Crimea.
On October 8, a powerful explosion occurred on the Crimean bridge, illegally built by Russia in 2018 to connect Russia with Crimea, partially destroying part of the railway connection.
Russia has occupied Crimea since annexing the peninsula in 2014 following the Euromaidan revolution that toppled then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
