The group was recently dismantled by the South East Attica Security Subdirector of the Attica Security Directorate, while its members allegedly systematically looted gas stations, kiosks and health stores in various areas of the southern suburbs.

In the case on Sunday noon, April 23, 2023, two men aged 46 and 33 were detained, against whom a criminal case was initiated on a criminal organization (gang), committing and attempted robberies. as an accomplice and as a result and a violation of gun and drug laws.

As it turned out as a result of the investigation, the above, at least since the beginning of last month (March 2023), formed and united into a criminal gang group with clearly defined roles in order to systematically commit robberies against gas station workers. , health shops and kiosks in the districts of Glyfada, Vari, Vouliagmeni and Ellinikos in Attica, acting according to a certain methodology based on a plan that they had previously agreed and determined, thereby obtaining an illegal financial benefit.

According to the mode of action, they preferred to commit robberies at night or early in the morning, driving to their goals together or alone in vehicles (motorcycles or cars). To commit robberies, they used a dummy pistol, which they used to intimidate store employees, and then took away checks.

Characteristic of their systematic actions is the fact that on Wednesday (December 4) and in just a few hours, a 46-year-old man committed three robberies in a row to maximize his booty.

The countdown to their arrest began on Sunday morning (4/23) when they were spotted by police from the DIAS group. Southeast Attica to move around on a motorcycle in the area of ​​Glyfada. At the sight of the policemen, they increased their speed and threw a model of a pistol on the road, but stopped nearby.

During the searches carried out in their homes, as well as in their possession, some of the clothes that they were wearing during the robberies, two knives, 44 drug tablets, as well as a motorcycle and a replica of the gun used to commit the robberies were found and confiscated.

To date, the involvement of members of the criminal group has emerged in nine cases of robbery, of which one was an attempt. From their criminal activities, they received a total of 4,000 euros, which, as it turned out, they put on gambling.

Those arrested, who have been charged with theft, fraud, embezzlement and possession of narcotic drugs in the past on a case-by-case basis, will be taken to the Athenian Prosecutor’s Office.

All of them were marked, and one of them only got out of prison in 2020, doing community service in the municipality of Attica.
