Unrest in the Greek Solution after the withdrawal from the combinations of the Anastasia party of two deputies – Aikaterini Alexopoulos and Antonis Milonakis.

Their departure was announced after the decision of the Party Ethics Committee, to which President Kyriakos Velopoulos decided to transfer the case of three MPs Antonis Milonakis, Apostolos Avdelas and Anastasia – Aikatherinis Alexopoulos, who according to reports, they discussed with ND.

The Ethics Committee decided that “the alleged ND interlocutors will run as candidates in other districts, and after a second year, depending on their behavior, they may run as candidates in the districts of their choice.”

Resignation notices

Following notification of the decision, Hellenic Solution members Anastasia – Aikaterini Aleksopoulou, on the contrary, MP for the B1 sector of Athens, and Antonis Milonakis, MP for East Attica, announced their withdrawal from the combinations of the Greek solution, while according to the Greek solution, Mr. Avdelas agreed to be a candidate for the Prefecture of Grevena.

In her post, Ms. Alexopoulou describes the Ethics Committee’s decision as “unacceptable and unfounded” that “destroys our democratic institutions.”

“The decision of the Ethics Committee on the “Solomonic decision”, which, in fact, destroys our democratic institutions, can only make me laugh to run as a candidate in a different constituency in which I was elected as an MP and representative of my fellow citizens, ”says , among others, Ms. Aleksopoulou.

For his part, in his post, Antonis Milonakis states: “After the official announcement of the Greek decision, which was decided without my prior official information and even without asking, as a punishment without any reason or reason, my origin in another constituency for outside of East Attica, my answer is no,” he notes, stating that “these dilemmas of political blackmail to change districts with ulterior motives do not concern me.”

The Hellenic Solution also issued a statement on the matter, stating, among other things, that “following the recent unfortunate developments regarding the alleged interlocutors of New Democracy, the first member of parliament from Thessaloniki, Apostolos Avdelas, courageously and boldly proved that the involvement of his name is not is justified in accepting his candidacy for the Prefecture of Grevena. The Greek decision never allowed behavior that would make it easier for the Greek citizens to vote, who trusted and will again trust our party on May 21st. Anyone who puts Greece and serving the country above the chair proves this with deeds, not words. In addition, the Greek people are tired of words and are waiting for action from everyone.”
