The destruction of a Russian T-72B3 tank by an anti-tank guided missile is perfectly captured on footage of a drone flying directly above the tank.

Images are circulating on social media showing a Russian tank in an open area firing a cannon while a Ukrainian drone is filming directly above it.

The drone begins to move away, and a decisive blow is delivered from one side: an anti-tank missile fired by the Ukrainians hits a Russian armored vehicle, followed by a powerful explosion that destroys the vehicle.

It is unclear whether the Russian tank was killed by a Javelin guided missile or a Soviet 9M133 Kornet.

Images of the tank burning after the explosion appear to show a “protective cage” mounted above the turret, an improvisation that many Russian troops have put on their tanks in the hope that it will protect them from attacks by Javelin missiles that can come in from above, hitting the tank directly in the tower, where the armor is thinner.
