Prime Minister Chuke recalled that he had told Daea that he should not feel alone because he had been helped from the beginning both in his relationship with the European executive and through the involvement of all state advisers in the Prime Minister’s office , who advised him on all measures taken.

Asked how he explained his feelings of loneliness and Daea’s request, the Prime Minister said:

  • “This is a much more complicated situation than usual and I think that Minister Daea did not want to do anything except a gesture by which he called on his colleagues to support him and if anyone has a better idea than those discussed can help him,” – said Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke.

“Do not leave me alone, brothers, for I have many children.”

Agriculture Minister Petre Daea, who has been criticized for his response to the cheap grain scandal in Ukraine, asked his colleagues on Thursday, at a government meeting, not to leave him alone in this crisis: “Don’t leave me alone, brothers, because I have many weapons on me “. He claimed to have taken action “faster than at the front” to protect Romanian farmers.

Daea asked the prime minister and ministers not to leave him “in the struggle” alone:

  • “I ask for your support, dear colleagues, do not leave me alone in the struggle!” I can accept it, but…”
  • “I guess you didn’t feel lonely until now. From now on, Mr. Minister, you will not be alone. We won’t let you,” replied Chuke.
  • “Well, don’t leave me, brother, because there are many children on me. Cheers, Mr. Prime Minister!” Daea answered.

When asked by the prime minister about the “working group on the strategy for the improvement of the production process, in the long term, for producers and farmers”, Daea gave an answer also in its title, talking about “mandolin” and “peace of mind”.
