
Her 25 year old star K-popMoonbin, the lead singer of the popular group Astro, was found dead at his home in Seoul, his manager said on Wednesday.
Fantagio Music, the five-member band’s record label, confirmed the news in a social media post.
“On April 19, Astro’s Moonbin suddenly left us to become a star in the sky,” the company wrote. “While our grief cannot be compared to that of grieving families who have lost a beloved son and brother, the members of Astro, the rest of the Fantagio artists, executives and staff mourn the departed with great grief and shock.”
The company urged the public to ignore and not spread the cases and “malicious messages” while according to Yonhap News, local police believe the singer may have taken his own life.
Moonbin will be singing at the upcoming Dream Concert along with fellow Astro member Sanha.
