TV presenter Volodymyr Solovyov, who is considered to be Vladimir Putin’s favorite propagandist, made a strange appeal to the Ukrainian military, in which he urged them to surrender and accused gays of dancing in the streets of the city center in Kyiv.

“Ukrainian warrior, I appeal to you. My name is Volodymyr Solovyov. Tell us what your business is on the land of Donbass. For 8 years, you raped and killed the residents of the proud and free Donbas,” he said in an address recorded on video and broadcast on Russian television.

“Why are you here? Western money is being stolen in Kyiv (not by Ukrainian officials). In Kyiv, they have forgotten your name. Zelensky is enjoying American fame and money. Your faith has been betrayed. Your Lavra has been trampled,” he continued, probably meaning the hard the situation of the Pechersk Lavra in the capital of Ukraine, which Ukraine accuses of spreading Russian propaganda.

The abbot of this Kyiv monastery, Metropolitan Pavel Lebida, was put under house arrest in early April after a hearing on whether he glorified Russian troops and incited religious differences.

Solovyov appeals to the Orthodoxy of the Ukrainian military

“Homosexuals are dancing on Khreshchatyk (the main boulevard in the center of Kyiv). Who are you? Are you Ukrainian? Orthodox Christian? Or are you a German who betrayed the memory of your ancestors, about their great achievement?” said Volodymyr Solovyov.

“Why are you here? Zelensky needs you to die. His family needs you in life. Surrender or leave everyone. And go to Kyiv to bring to justice the scoundrels who betrayed your Motherland,” he concluded his address.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, addressed the Ukrainian military with a direct call to surrender from the first day of the war, in his infamous speech announcing the start of a “special military operation.”

The Ukrainian military ignored his words.
