Patriarch Daniel’s message: The Feast of Holy Easter illuminates the whole life of the Church and every Christian
“The celebration of Holy Easter illuminates the whole life of the Church and every Christian,” says the Patriarch of Romania, who addresses Easter greetings and good wishes to the faithful, reports Basilica.ro.
“On Easter night, we sing: Now everything is filled with light, both heaven and earth and the nether world.
This means: now everything created is filled with its ultimate meaning. All point to the light of eternal life in the Kingdom of God. why Because the crucified and resurrected Christ defeated sin, hell and death, giving the world eternal, incorruptible life.
Therefore, the celebration of Holy Easter illuminates the whole life of the Church and every Christian, because through baptism, repentance, the Eucharist and almsgiving we unite with the crucified and resurrected Christ, the Conqueror of death.
The holiday of Holy Easter calls us today to give light, peace and joy to those around us, especially the poor and sick, the sad and lonely, the refugees and the alienated.
We wish everyone health and happiness, peace and joy, together with Easter we congratulate:
Christ is Risen!
He is truly risen!”
