
Ukraine will receive an additional $5 billion in aid from the G7 countries, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said, writes The Guardian.
He noted that the agreement was reached as a result of the spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
Switzerland will also commit $2 billion over six years, and Denmark will set up a special fund of $1 billion.
According to Denys Smyhal, Spain, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Iceland and the Netherlands will also provide additional support to Ukraine.
“All this will help us win and ensure the stability of our economy,” said Denys Shymyhal.
