Cyberster, the return of MG roadsters

In Europe, the Sino-English MG brand also plans to launch its own electric roadster called the Cyberster in 2024.. Technical sketches of this model have already leaked in recent months. Today and a few days after the Shanghai Motor Show, its serial version finally appears!

Ambitious, but not affordable

These available images show the final silhouette of MG’s Cyberster. As in the technical sketches, its shape is smooth and has attractive aerodynamic lines. A canvas hood adds a touch of elegance almond-shaped headlights and arrow-shaped taillights are clearly recognizable. It will offer two engines: Rear-wheel drive for 314 horsepower, or integral for 536 horsepower. At least that much is needed to pull almost two tons of it!

So far, MG has not yet announced battery size or expected range.. The concept car, presented in 2021, announced a range of 800 kilometers and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. With such numbers, the days of small, affordable roadsters like the MG F seem to be over.
