The intervention of the prosecutor’s office was once again caused by a new incident with the fall of gypsum in school Hair and specifically in the 32nd elementary school.
The incident took place on Maundy Monday and luckily the students and teachers were away due to the Easter holidays. By a lucky chance, he spared the cleaning lady, who saw the plaster that had fallen on the stairs between the first and second floors.
According to ERT, the prosecutor was instructed to investigate all documents sent by the school and elementary school that describe the danger in order to obtain relevant testimony.
It is recalled that a pre-order was also ordered for plasters that fell in the classroom during the opening hours of Volos 18th Primary School last week.
It is noted that the Association of Parents of the 32nd Primary School informed the municipality of Volos about the problems the school is facing and demanded that the necessary measures be taken.
An echelon of technical services from the municipality, together with Deputy Mayor Thanos Theodorou, visited the school on Monday and performed the first autopsy. As Mr. Teodorou assured, during the holidays, the necessary interventions will be carried out both in the place where the gypsum fell and in two rooms that were found to be in need of interventions.
However, it is noteworthy – according to the vice-mayor – that the roof of this particular school was insulated two years ago, while there are no visible signs of dampness.
