The Guinness Book of World Records named a chihuahua from Florida named Pearl the shortest dog in the world. The height of the little four-legged is only 9.14 centimeters, writes UPI.
Born on September 1, 2020, Pearl is smaller than a TV remote control and almost as long as a dollar bill.
Pearl’s owner, Vanessa Semler, who lives in Orlando, Florida, consulted veterinarian Giovanni Vergel, who officially confirmed that she is the shortest dog alive.

Pearl’s mother’s sister, Miracle Millie, previously held the same record with a height of 9.6 centimeters. Millie died in 2020, before Pearl was born.
“We are blessed to have her,” Semler told the Guinness Book of Records. “And to have this unique opportunity to break our own record and share this amazing news with the world.”
