Even though speed cameras have been on the roads for a few years now, that doesn’t stop speeding as usual. To make matters worse, serious speeding violations even increased after the first arrest. We are talking about here speeding over 50 km/h over the limit, not little excesses as we all may do from time to time. Because we all drive too fast sometimes without even realizing it. But the story we are telling you today is somewhat different. And everything could have ended much worse.
Excessive speeding
The events unfold this Thursday, April 6, at the very beginning of the afternoon near the town of Orville in the Loire. Then the soldiers of the motorized platoon “Pannes” check whether everything is fine on the road and whether the drivers obey the traffic rules. Traffic rules. Suddenly, on the road, which is limited to 80 km/h, the driver suddenly exceeded the speed of 137 km/h. Not one or two gendarmes gave chase to stop his escape, which could have endangered other road users. But things don’t go as planned…
An unusual situation
After a few minutes, the police cannot get hold of the driver of the car, who seems to have disappeared. But after a few minutes of research, the latter was finally found in a very uncomfortable position. He had actually hidden in the trash ! The driver also tested positive for drugs, and finally had his driver’s license revoked, as well as a large fine. So it shouldn’t be back on the road anytime soon!
