American actress Hilary Swank, a two-time Oscar winner, announced on Monday that she became a mother for the first time, having given birth to twins, a girl and a boy, during the Catholic Easter, DPA reports.

According to the Hollywood star, who has two “Oscars” on her shoulders, her task “was not easy”, but “it was worth the effort”.

Hilary Swank, 48, shared a photo on Instagram of herself on a balcony wearing a bathrobe and holding her two babies while looking over the railing at the sea.

“It was not easy. But the boy and the girl were worth all the effort. Happy Easter! I am writing you this message from a real paradise,” the American actress wrote in a message to the photo.

Many celebrities congratulated her with the news, including Viola Davis, Sharon Stone, Juliette Lewis, Maria Sharapova and Kate Hudson.

Hilary Swank married entrepreneur Philip Schneider in 2018 after almost two years of dating. She was also married to actor Chad Lowe from 1997 to 2007.

The American actress is a two-time Academy Award winner for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in Boys Don’t Cry (1999), about a young transgender man who moves to Falls City, Nebraska, and the feature film “Million Dollar Baby” (2004) – about the journey of an amateur boxer who wants to switch to professional boxing.

Hilary Swank has featured in other successful roles such as the drama Freedom Writers, the romantic drama PS I Love You, the biopic Amelia, and most recently the series Alaska Daily.
