Belinda Bencic (11 WTA) won at the end of the match in which Jessica Pegula was tied.
After conceding three set points at 5-4 in the first set, the second set went to a tie-break where the Swiss made a great comeback to take a 5-2 lead.
The match, which started on Saturday, was interrupted by rain in the second set tiebreak at 4-2 in favor of Pegul and lasted a total of two hours and three minutes.
Jessica Pegula overcame Iryna Bega in the round of 16 after 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.

In the finals of the WTA Charleston Bencic will meet the second favorite of the competition Ons Jaber, who in the semi-finals beat Daria Kasatkina with a score of 7-5, 7-5.
