Chelsea are on the hunt for a manager following the sacking of Graham Potter, while Todd Boley’s side are close to agreeing a deal for Frank Lampard, who will remain on the bench until the end of the season.

However, the Londoners changed their decision and contacted the ex-coach of the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique.

Moreover, Luis Enrique flew to London on Wednesday to negotiate a contract with Chelsea, but here the leadership of the white and blue took an unexpected decision.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Todd Boley is considering the option of Frank Lampard as interim coach until the end of this season.

Frank Lampard also coached Chelsea from July 2019 to January 2021 and has been out of contract since the end of January after parting ways with Everton.
